Coach Goad and his freshman boys basketball team at Belvidere North High School are enjoying their recent conference win.
Outscoring Belvidere in the first round, Hononegah in the semifinals, and Boylan in the championship game, the Blue Thunder ended the season with a 13-3 conference record, going 22-5 overall. This is the first time Belvidere North as won a conference championship at the freshman level.
