Dear Families of Washington Academy,
On the behalf of the Washington faculty, I would like to extend an invitation to visit us on the official web site for District #100 and in person whenever possible. This site will enable you to link with other schools and facilities within District #100. Through this site, you will also be able to connect with information about other resources that are available to all District #100 residents.
At Washington Academy we strive for excellence. The staff strives to meet the educational needs of all students. We understand that educating your child takes teamwork. To insure educational success for your child, it is important that parents and staff work together to keep lines of communication open.
Parent/teacher conference, direct contacts, notes home, agenda planners, the monthly school newsletters and the Washington website are just a few ways that you can expect communication from the teachers at Washington Academy. Parents are also encouraged to be proactive in making contacts whenever they feel necessary to discuss student progress. Washington Academy is your school, and I invite you to become involved in your student’s educational progress.
Parents are encouraged to become involved in the school’s Parent-Teacher Organization and to volunteer their time during field trips, the fun fair, the book fair, family reading nights, and other school activities. The PTO is an important way to network with other parents and support various educational efforts.
