The District is moving towards a proficiency-based grading system, which now applies at the Middle School level. For further details, see the District website page Proficiency-Based Grading.
Please see the Parent Access page on the District website for a link to eSchool and information on using the website. Middle school students are encouraged to check on their grade progress themselves. They will receive their logon information at school, and if there are any problems should contact their Homebase teacher.

Updating Student/Parent Information
Remember to update the District if there are any changes of information after registration. Please contact Central Office (815-544-0301) to change your living address. A proof of residency will be required. Please call BCMS (815-544-0190) to update phone numbers, email addresses, and to retrieve your parent access log-in information.
We Care about Student Health
Section 6:50 of the Policy Manual details the District's School Wellness policy. It states the goals for student nutrition and physical activity, both within and outside of the curriculum.

RTI/MAP Testing Resources
The NWEA MAP test (Reading and MAth) will be given to all grade levels in December and April/May.
"The Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) is the state assessment and accountability measure for Illinois students enrolled in a public school district. IAR assesses the New Illinois Learning Standards Incorporating the Common Core and will be administered in English Language Arts and Mathematics."
