How may we help?
Our goal is to help students with emotional / social, career, and
academic needs |
1.
Individual Counseling
Contact your child’s counselor if your child has specific needs in which we
should be aware. |
2. Group
Counseling
Groups help students deal with issues such as Grief and Loss, Self Esteem,
and other issues in a small group setting. Call your child’s counselor
if you would like your child in a group.

3.
Conflict Resolution
Counselors are available to perform mediations for students experiencing
conflict. |
4.
Teacher/Student Assistance Team
Teachers, counselors, and parents work together to help students who are
struggling. |

5.
Liaison between Community Agencies and BCMS Contact your child’s
counselor for information about many agencies in Boone County. |
6.
Transition Counseling
Transitions students between Elementary/Middle School and Middle/High
School. |

Registration/Orientation
See your child’s counselor if you are new to the district or for information
regarding registration for the next year. |

Student/Staff Mentoring Program
Mentors are adult role models who meet with your child on a regular basis.
Contact your child’s counselor if you’d like your child to have a BCMS
mentor. |
10. Peer
Tutoring Program
Students may receive peer tutoring during Homework Club. |
