Middle school students are caught in an immense and confusing
hi-tech revolution. Our goal is to guide students toward discovering the
excitement and promise of technology while we prepare them to competently
apply various technologies in their present and future lives. Central’s
technology lab contains 16 learning modules. Students will choose which
topics they would like to study and, as time and availability permit, they
will be scheduled into those modules. The modules that students have
available to choose from are Road Transportation, Aerospace, Aerodynamic
Principles, Alternate Energy, Power and Energy, Pneumatics, Engineering
Structures, Construction and CAD, CAM/CNC Mill, Robotics, Multimedia Basics,
Desktop Publishing, Lasers and Fiber Optics, Graphic Design, Manufacturing
and Automation, and Video Production. Grade 8 students will also work on
individual or team projects in Central’s traditional industrial technology
lab. Grade 7 students will also work on a model rocketry unit in Central’s
traditional industrial technology lab. |
