Answers To Commonly Asked Questions

 
  • School hours are from 8:38 AM - 3:10 PM.  Tardy bell rings at 8:38 AM.
  • Lunch costs $2.00 per day or you can bring your own.  Checks can be deposited into a lunch
    account.  Make checks payable to BCMS.
  • A P.E. uniform is needed.  It can be purchased from your P.E. teacher for $20.00.
  • Registration fees are prorated for the year.  Please speak to a secretary for the correct amount.
  • Students coming from out-of-state will need an Illinois physical.
  • School sports are for 7th and 8th grades only
    Fall:  Football, Volleyball, and Cross Country
    Winter:  Basketball, Wrestling, Cheerleading, and Poms
    Spring:  Track
  • Intramural sports are for 6th grade:  Tennis and Volleyball (usually in spring)
  • Bus information can be obtained by calling 815-544-9766.
  • Your child should report to the counselor's office on his/her first day of school to obtain a schedule,
    receive a tour and pair-up with a buddy.

Bullying among children is aggressive behavior that is intentional and that involves an imbalance of power or strength.  Typically, it is repeated over time.  Bullying can take many forms such as hitting or punching (physical bullying); intimidation through gestures or social exclusion (nonverbal bullying or emotional bullying); and sending insulting messages by e-mail (cyberbullying).
