Dear Kishwaukee Elementary School Parents,

Welcome to Kishwaukee Elementary School!

On behalf of the faculty at Kishwaukee School, I would like to extend a “Kishwaukee Cougar Welcome” to all returning and new students.

At Kishwaukee, we strive for excellence. The staff strives hard to meet the educational needs of all students. We understand that educating your child takes teamwork. To insure educational success for your child, it is important that parents and faculty work together to keep lines of communication open and strong.

Parent/teacher conferences, direct contacts, notes home, voice mail, Monday folders, and the monthly newsletter/calendar are just a few things that you can expect from teachers at Kishwaukee School to try to keep parents informed about school activities. Parents, likewise, are encouraged to initiate their own contacts whenever they feel the need to discuss their child’s progress. Kishwaukee School is your school, and I invite you to become involved your child’s educational progress.

PTO is an important way to network with other parents, and I encourage you to become involved. PTO meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at 2:15 p.m.

I encourage you to visit us on the official web site for District #100, or come see us in person. This site will keep you up to date with Kishwaukee information. It will also enable you to link with other schools and facilities within District #100, as well as know the resources that are available to all District 100 residents.

My door is always open, and I look forward to communicating with each of you regarding your child’s education. If you have any questions, please feel free to call me at (815)597-1501.

Sincerely,

Deborah L. Anderson, Principal
