Getting to Know Jody Dahlseng ...

Mrs. Dahlseng has been in the Belvidere School District for three years. This is her second year as principal at Meehan Elementary School. "Children First" which is the motto of District 100, is also the motto that Mrs. Dahlseng tries to adhere to. She stresses the importance of the Meehan Code of Conduct which includes: Respect for Yourself, Respect for Others and Respect for Property. Safety and high academic expectations are two areas of priority. Jody feels privileged to work with the dedicated and hard-working Meehan staff.

Brent and Jody moved to Rockford this fall. They are "empty nesters" but often find their home filled with their four kids coming home to visit. Kate and her husband Eric live in Evanston, IL. In May of 2007, they gave birth to Delaney Sue - and Brent and Jody became proud grandparents. Their second daughter Kelly was married in June 2007 to Arturo. Kelly is a fourth grade teacher in the Chicago Public School System and Arturo is an electrical engineer. They live in Jefferson Park. Nate graduated from the University of Kentucky in Lexington in May 2007. He works for the Hikari Company in Kentucky. Amanda is a junior at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. She is on the basketball and track team, and majors in religion. Jody's husband, Brent, is a Lutheran pastor at Grace Lutheran Church in Love's park, IL. He is the love of Jody's life - and her best friend.

Education is a community adventure that Mrs. Dahlseng is proud to be part of. Please stop by her office anytime to talk.
