Mrs. Gonet
LIFE SKILLS

Welcome To BSMS Staff Handbook School Report Card PVO

Life Skills is a combination of academics and practical life skills.  Students work with a modified curriculum in reading, math, science, social studies, and spelling.  Life Skills instruction includes skill work such as time, money, and cooking. Our class also frequently visits the community to practice life skills.

COOKING CLASS

Mrs. Gonet's class frequently works with student partners from the mainstreamed classes. They join us for all kinds of activities in and out of the classroom. It is a very good way for all the students to get to know each other. Two of the activities that student partners assisted with are making gingerbread houses and cooking.

Christmas Shopping 2007

Christmas shopping at CherryVale mall is one of our favorite community trips. Our families give us lists, we check them twice, and then we play
"Christmas elves" and do the shopping. It is very fun!

Bowling - December 2007

Every other week we bowl at Concordia Lanes. We get practice with social skills, money, math and science.
We also have a great time!

Burpee Museum - March 2008

We went to Burpee Museum on March 14, 2008. We learned about the time periods the dinosaurs lived in.
We also made fossils and a dinosaur time line. It was a great trip.
