Eighth grade Science
students on the Patriots Team cover a wide range of topics.
We spend a great deal of time in the lab doing science lab
activities, demonstration labs, class projects, building mouse
trap cars, making a four room house out of a cardboard box
while putting electricity in each room, and much more.
The different topics we
cover in physical science are matter, the periodic table, the
scientific method, electricity, magnetism, learning how to use
the Bunsen burner and other areas. We cover the earth science
topics of space, learning about space exploration, living in
space (we will be trying to dehydrate food and rehydrating it
for students to eat), constellations and much more.
Also, throughout the school year we do other out of class
projects like a bridge project, a space project, and possibly
a few others.
