Students will learn various simple phrases in Spanish.  Some of the topics to be covered are the alphabet, hellos and goodbyes, cognates, Spanish speaking countries, and numbers in 6th grade Spanish.  In 7th grade, students will learn colors, basic questions and answers, family, adjectives, and regular -ar verb conjugations, along with a review of 6th grade information.  In 8th grade students take Spanish for an entire year and are given the same curriculum as the high school Spanish I program uses.  These students are able by the end of the year to enter Spanish II at the high school as Freshman.
