School Board Shout Outs - December 2024

School Board Shout Outs - December 2024

At our December Board meeting the following D100 staff who were nominated to receive a shout out during a Board meeting:

  • Kelli Billesbach, Caledonia Elementary - Kelli is always such a great leader in the nursing department.  She has a large caseload between multiple buildings, but no matter where she is or what is or what is going on, she is always able to take the time to help a fellow nurse.  She even does it with a smile.  Work life is better with Kelli, she's been such a mentor for me as a school nurse and I just wanted to take the time her to appreciate all of her efforts.  District 100 is better with you here!  Submitted by Melissa Williams

  • Deb Massman, Perry Elementary - She went above and beyond to keep our students safe by following the procedure to question individuals in our building who don't have a District ID or visitor badge on.  As both a parent of students at Perry and a teacher, I appreciate her efforts.  Thank you!

  • Meaghan Rose, Belvidere South Middle School - Meaghan is my ELA partner, and she truly brings out the best in me!  This is only our second year together, but Meaghan is a team player.  We can sit together during our PLC and really problem solve how to help all of our students.  She has great ideas that benefit students.  I have always loved teaching at South Middle School, but Meaghan just makes our team and department stronger.  Submitted by Natasha Godomski

  • Kristen Carpenter, Lisa DeJong, Jody Farris, Kristen Endres, and Lynsie MerryBelvidere South Middle School - This team has placed an extreme amount of care and dedication to a new transfer in student in order to give her what she needs and attempts to put her in the least restrictive environment.  Their care and desire for what is best for all students is obvious.  They took a difficult situation for a student and made it as comfortable as they could for her.  They also made sure her peers did not see her as a threat, but as a fellow classmate going through a difficult time.  They made the parents feel valued and heard.  They know their daughter is struggling, but this team gave them hope.  Submitted by Jessica Graefe

  • Rob Wesselhoff, Belvidere High School - Rob has gone above and beyond in helping us create observation times and dates for a student that we are trying to find an outplacement location.  Rob willingly gave up multiple hours this summer to help Central Office out in creating a time and space for this student to receive tutoring, then the student didn't how up once.  Now, he is going above and beyond by working directly with one of our potential outplacement locations and the mother of the student to set up a location and time for virtual observations to take place after school hours in this classroom.  Submitted by Jessica Graefe

  • Maintenance Staff, Central Office - A part boke in the air/heat system that supplies my room. The maintenance staff came several times and returned my classroom to a workable temperature. When they found the broken part they stopped and explained what had happened and what steps they needed to take. They are always friendly and have a smile. Thank you so much!.  Submitted by Stacy Payne
