The Board approved the addition of early release and late start days for the upcoming school year.
The recently approved collective bargaining agreement with the Belvidere Education Association included the addition of two (2) early releases for elementary and one for middle and high school (late start) between terms for the purpose of protected teacher preparation time for at least one (1) hour. The attached calendar includes those additional early release and late start dates.
- Early releases for elementary are added for Monday November 16th and Monday March 1st.
- An early release for middle school and late start for high school is added for Tuesday January 19th.
Similar adjustments will be made and presented to the school board for the 27 - 28 and subsequent school years.
Early Childhood No Attendance Days
Additionally, (3) mid-year non-student attendance days have been added for Early Childhood.
- November 4 (replaces early release/late start day)
- February 22
- May 12 (replaces early release/late start day)
