Continuum of Services
A full continuum of services is available for all students who qualify for special education. Students with disabilities may receive services exclusively in the general education classroom or within a residential setting, with many other options in between. Services and supports are individually designed by the IEP team and aligned to the educational needs of the student.

General Education:
Students are educated in the general education setting with their same-grade peers and are taught the grade-level curriculum. (All D100 Schools)
General Education (Accommodations and Related Services):
A level of service where students are educated in the general education setting with their same-grade peers. Students are taught the grade-level curriculum and may receive supplementary aids, accommodations and/or related services based on their needs. (All D100 Schools)
General Education (Co-Taught and Push-in Services):
A level of service that provides support to students who require specialized instruction in reading, writing, math, and/or functional skills. Students receive specialized instruction within the general education environment. The grade-level curriculum is taught and may be modified based on student needs. (All D100 Schools)
Specially Designed Instruction (Delivered Outside of the General Education Environment):
A level of service that provides support to students who require specialized instruction in reading, writing, math, and/or functional skills. Students receive specialized instruction outside of the general education environment. Priority standards for grade-level curriculum are taught along with the foundational skills to meet those standards. (All D100 Schools)
Essential Elements (E.E.):
A life-skills program with an alternative curriculum that serves students with moderate to severe intellectual impairments. This program focuses on functional academics and life skills. Adaptive Behavior Communication (A.B.C.):
This program provides structured supports for students with adaptive, behavior, communication, and social needs. Classrooms in this program are highly structured and predictable, with the use of visual supports and sensory strategies. Learn more about our A.B.C. program here.
Social-Emotional Executive Development (S.E.E.D.S.):
This program provides structured social-emotional and executive development supports; including appropriate peer interaction, problem-based learning, coping strategies, building self-esteem, and self-regulation. Learn more about our S.E.E.D.S. program here.
Therapeutic Day School:
A level of service that provides support to students whose educational needs, due to the severity of the disability, cannot be appropriately met in the public school environment. At this level of service, the student attends a private therapeutic school during school hours.
Residential Setting:
A level of service that provides support to students whose educational needs, due to the severity of the disability, cannot be appropriately met in the public school environment. At this level of service, the student lives in a residential facility and receives education in the residential setting.
Homebound or Hospital Setting:
A level of service that is provided to students who must remain in their home or hospital setting due to their doctor’s recommendation and medical condition.
