Early Childhood

All children are required to be screened before they can register.  If you're interested in having your child screened, please fill out our screening request form.

All students must be up-to-date with physical examination and immunization requirements.  All completed forms must be turned in to your child's school as soon as possible.  Students who have not submitted their required health documents by September 9, 2024 will be excluded from school starting September 10, 2024 until all documentation has been received.

Early Childhood Health Requirements

Our Early Childhood program is offered at Caledonia Elementary and Washington Academy.  Students that live within Caledonia, Seth Whitman and Lincoln boundaries will attend Caledonia.  Students that live within Washington, Perry and Meehan will attend Washington.  However, all bilingual classes will be at Washington, no matter your home school.

When classes are full, students may be placed at the other site with transportation available.

All children ages 3 and 4 may be eligible. Students who are 5 can be considered if their birthday falls after September 1st.  IL school code requires that students who are 5 by September 1st be enrolled in Kindergarten if they will be attending public school.

Early Childhood students are not required to bring school supplies. We do ask that you send your child to school with the following items, clearly labeled with their first and last name:

1 - Backpack (regular sized - no smaller than 16” x 18” x 8.5”)

1- Change of Clothes (including underwear & socks)

Diapers/pull-ups with refastenable sides (if needed)

Snack items - A USDA aligned snack will be offered daily at no cost to families. Classroom teachers will provide more information during the first week and will send home a monthly calendar.
